Job Description:
As the Senior SQA Engineer – Automation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the development and implementation of automated and manual testing processes.
You will be a part of a team of SQA engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. Your role will involve setting quality standards, developing testing strategies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the SQA team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement automation strategies, frameworks, and best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the software testing process.
- Oversee the design and execution of test strategies, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing, to ensure comprehensive coverage of all software features.
- Drive the adoption and integration of test automation within the SQA process, identifying suitable automation tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and test suites to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.
- Identify and address bottlenecks, challenges, and opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within the SQA team.
- Oversee a team of SQA engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical expertise to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products.
- Monitor and analyze test results, identify trends, and proactively address any issues or bottlenecks that may impact the quality of the software.
- Work closely with product owners, project managers, and other stakeholders to prioritize testing activities and ensure alignment with product timelines and goals.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to software testing and apply them to improve our testing processes.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement, promoting SQA best practices across the organization through training, knowledge sharing, and process improvements.
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, or similar technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#, and experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies.
- Knowledge of test management tools and defect tracking systems.
